Terms of Service
Version: 2026-09-01-v2
Clear rules for intentional and respectful matchmaking.
These Terms govern access to and use of the ELORA matchmaking service. By creating an account, you enter into an agreement with the ELORA operator identified in our legal notice/Impressum. Mandatory consumer rights under applicable law are not limited by these Terms.
1. Eligibility
ELORA is intended only for individuals aged 18 or older and is currently offered to users in Germany and other regions expressly supported by ELORA.
You must provide accurate information when registering and must not impersonate another person.
One individual may operate only one active personal account unless ELORA expressly permits otherwise.
2. Account Security
You are responsible for taking reasonable steps to keep your login credentials secure.
You must not provide another person with access to your account or use another member's account.
Please notify ELORA promptly if you believe that your account has been accessed without authorisation.
3. ELORA's Matchmaking Service
ELORA provides curated introductions based on information such as profile details, preferences, questionnaire responses and compatibility criteria.
Compatibility assessments and recommendations are intended to support introductions. They are not guarantees of personal compatibility or relationship outcomes.
ELORA does not guarantee a particular number or frequency of introductions, conversations, dates or successful relationships.
Availability of introductions may depend on factors including mutual preferences, eligibility, location and the number of suitable participating members.
4. Member Conduct
You must treat other members respectfully and use ELORA only for lawful personal matchmaking purposes.
You must not use ELORA to harass, threaten, discriminate against, defraud or impersonate another person.
You must not use ELORA for unsolicited commercial solicitation, automated scraping, unauthorised data collection, spam or attempts to circumvent security or account restrictions.
You must not share another person's private messages, photos, recordings or other private information without appropriate permission or another lawful basis.
Illegal content and conduct are prohibited.
5. Your Content
You retain ownership of content you provide to ELORA, such as profile text, photographs, voice recordings and messages, subject to any rights of other persons contained in that content.
You grant ELORA a non-exclusive licence to host, store, reproduce, process and display that content only to the extent reasonably necessary to operate, secure and provide the ELORA service and the features you request.
This licence does not permit ELORA to sell your profile photos, voice recordings or private messages as standalone content.
Your licence to ELORA ends when the relevant content is deleted, except where continued processing or retention is permitted or required by law, necessary for safety or legal claims, or necessary to preserve shared content in accordance with the Privacy Policy and applicable law.
6. Safety, Reports and Moderation
ELORA provides tools that may allow members to block or report other members.
ELORA may review reports and relevant information where necessary to investigate suspected misuse, protect members, enforce these Terms or comply with legal obligations.
Depending on the circumstances, ELORA may warn a member, restrict functionality, hide content, suspend an account or permanently terminate access.
Where required by applicable law, ELORA will provide the affected user with the information and remedies required by law.
7. Social Login and Third-Party Services
Certain ELORA functions may depend on third-party services, such as Google or Facebook login, email delivery, telephone verification, media storage and push notifications.
The availability of those functions may therefore also depend on the relevant third-party service.
ELORA's processing of personal data in connection with these services is described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Account Termination and Deletion
You may stop using ELORA and request closure of your account at any time.
When an account-deletion request is made, ELORA may immediately pause the profile and begin the 30-day deletion grace period described in the Privacy Policy.
During that period, account restoration may remain available.
After the grace period, data scheduled for deletion will be deleted or anonymised in accordance with the Privacy Policy, subject to information ELORA is legally entitled or required to retain.
Account deletion and statutory withdrawal from a consumer contract are legally distinct processes.
9. Statutory Right of Withdrawal
Where you enter into a distance consumer contract with ELORA and German law provides a statutory right of withdrawal, you generally have 14 days to exercise that right without giving a reason.
A withdrawal must clearly communicate your decision to withdraw from the contract. You may send that declaration to support@elora.now or use any electronic withdrawal function that ELORA is legally required to provide.
Additional statutory information concerning the withdrawal right, its exercise, commencement, expiry and consequences will be provided where required.
Deleting an ELORA account does not replace any separate statutory withdrawal procedure unless ELORA expressly confirms that the deletion request is also being treated as an unambiguous withdrawal declaration.
Nothing in these Terms limits statutory withdrawal rights.
10. Suspension and Termination by ELORA
ELORA may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect members or the service, investigate suspected violations, prevent fraud or abuse, comply with legal obligations or enforce these Terms.
ELORA may terminate accounts for serious or repeated violations.
Where required by law, ELORA will take into account the circumstances of the case and provide applicable notice, reasons or remedies.
11. Availability and Changes to the Service
ELORA may maintain, improve and modify the service over time.
Temporary interruptions may occur because of maintenance, security incidents, technical failures or circumstances outside ELORA's reasonable control.
Where applicable consumer law gives you rights concerning changes to a digital product or service, those statutory rights remain unaffected.
12. Liability
ELORA is liable without limitation where liability cannot legally be excluded, including for intentional misconduct and gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health caused by ELORA.
In cases of slight negligence involving an essential contractual obligation, liability is limited, to the extent permitted by law, to damage that was foreseeable and typical for the contract.
Mandatory statutory liability remains unaffected.
ELORA is not responsible for whether another member is personally compatible with you or whether an introduction develops into a relationship.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where exclusion or limitation is prohibited by law.
13. Privacy
ELORA processes personal data as described in the Privacy Policy.
Exercising data-protection rights does not itself remove any consumer or contractual rights that apply independently under law.
14. Intellectual Property
The ELORA service, including ELORA software, branding, interface design and ELORA-created content, is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
These Terms do not transfer ownership of ELORA intellectual property to you.
You may not reproduce, commercially exploit, reverse engineer or systematically extract protected parts of the service except where such activity is expressly permitted by applicable law.
15. Changes to These Terms
ELORA may update these Terms where reasonably necessary, including because of legal requirements, security requirements or changes to the service.
Changes will not retroactively remove rights already accrued to you.
Where applicable law requires advance information, consent, a termination right or another remedy in connection with a change, ELORA will provide it.
The current version is identified by the version information displayed with these Terms.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by German law.
If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of mandatory consumer protections that apply to you under applicable law.
Mandatory rules concerning jurisdiction remain unaffected.
